You're thinking of the Thailand visa ... 800k Thai Baht. That's over 33,500 CAD. An SRRV with pension is 10k USD deposit. Some applicants are eligible for the $1500 deposit instead. Thailand is pricing itself out of the market for good solid average retirees.
